Dear Editor – I am writing in response to the recent article about the tragic case of a 49-year-old father who raped his own daughter in Isabel Province.
This horrific act has left me deeply saddened and raises a pressing question: how long will we allow our children to suffer at the hands of abusers?
We must take immediate action to protect our children. This includes enforcing strict and effective laws against violence, launching public education campaigns to change harmful attitudes, and improving support (safe place) services for survivors.
It’s time to hold abusers accountable and create a society where women and children feel safe, respected, and free from violence.
Sincerely,
