THE China Town police post will re-open Friday next week.
The post, located at the same spot near the Mataniko clinic, takes up the front section of the Honiara City Council’s newly built dental clinic.
Assistance police commissioner Gabriel Manelusi said the post has been equipped and is ready to be occupied by officers.
Mr Manelusi said it is important that police are station in that part of the city because of the growing number of businesses at China Town.
He said the public must cooperate with police stationed there in reporting and curbing crimes in that area.
China Town has often been a target in the pass during public disorders.
