CHOISEUL provincial police have successfully conducted an outreach program to communities in North Choiseul last week.
The police officers organised the awareness which coincided with a sporting event at Bangara community.
During the event the police raised awareness on domestic violence, illegal side of smoking marijuana, drinking kwaso (homebrew) and abuse.
Choiseul provincial police commander Roland Lapotold the Solomon Star, the outreach program targeted the youths and adults.
He added the talks also focused on respect for others to ensure there is peace in the community.
Mr Lapo acknowledged all the youths and community members who turned up for the event.
Similar event is being planned for other communities around the province.
