Choiseul Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Rolland Lapo has commended all the communities and voters in the province for their respect during last week’s election and counting.
Speaking from Taro, the PPC said throughout last week, police have no records of any crime related activities which may have disrupted the election and counting process.
He said this showed that communities and people in the province have respect for the election.
“I am very happy and proud of the people in Choiseul province for their peaceful behaviour shown during the election.”
He said the alcohol ban also played a part in the peaceful election.
Mr Lapo alsp acknowledged his officers in Taro for their support.
