THE Choiseul Provincial Government has strongly condemned the burning and looting of properties in Honiara and urged Choiseul people living in Honiara to refrain from involving in these activities.
In a statement yesterday, Choiseul Province Premier Benjamin Harrison appealed to all Choiseul people living in |Honiara to remain calm and refrain from involving in any unlawful activities but to uphold the core values of custom and Christian principles of love, care, sharing and respect.
“The Choiseul Provincial Government strongly condemned the burning and looting of businesses, private properties and public properties in Honiara.
“I plea that Choiseul people in Honiara should not involve or participate in such unlawful activities.
“I also call that whoever instigate such unlawful activities to discontinue any further destructions and looting of properties but resort to peaceful ways,” Mr Harrison said.
He also called on churches, traditional leaders and all Christians to pray for peace to prevail in our nation Solomon Islands.
