Voters in Choiseul Province have again given all their three outgoing MPs the political mandate to lead them for the next four years.
Manasseh Sogavare reclaimed his East Choiseul seat, Connelly Sandakabatu his Northwest Choiseul, and Elijah Doro Muala, South Choiseul.
Choiseul, on the far western border, has three constituencies.
For Sogavare, a former prime minister, this would be his fifth term in parliament. He was first elected in the 1997 elections.
And for his two colleagues, Sandakabatu and Muala, this would be their second.
Sogavare and Muala contested as independent MPs, while Sandakabatu campaigned under the banner of Democratic Alliance Party.
