LOCAL churches of the Solomon Islands Full Gospel Association (SIFGA) will be advocating awareness programs to fight against Non Communicable Disease (NCD) in the country.
The awareness program will begin after a national church conference that will be held on the 25th to 26th this month.
Guests from overseas and health officials will be participating during the program.
Chairman of SIFGA Jeffrey Alacky said, the program will feature trainings for church leaders on how to advocate information to people in the churches and communities.
“They will teach about eating proper diet,” Alacky said.
He said, the program will prepare them towards the program to be conducted in their respective churches.
Mr Alacky encouraged church leaders from any denomination who are interested to attend.
“It is important for church leaders to attend so that you can advocate health information in your communities,” he said.
