THE Honiara City Council Law Enforcement Officers have extended their patrols towards the western end of the Town Boundary at White river yesterday.
This is part of the enforcements move to expand its operations.
Chairman Charles Aiwosuga said the patrols are part of ensuring and enforcing the laws of the Council.
“Our officers have been engaged with our scheduled patrols to check on every residence and business at White River,” Mr Aiwosuga said.
“These patrols include distribution of information to the public about the ordinances of the Council and at the same time check on home retail owners for their business licenses,” he added.
“Similar patrols will also be carried out on residences and businesses at the Central and Eastern parts within the City boundary.”
The Chairman also made the clarification that anyone wishing to organise any fundraising activities which involves alcohol within their area, must obtain an Occasional License from the HCC.
However Aiwosuga said that with the current bad weather, residents are advised to keep their surroundings clean to avoid further littering in their communities.
He said anyone who needs assistance from HCC to come forward to the HCC headquarters and see the responsible officers and divisions.
