Honiara Netball Association (HNA) league 2024 season has completed its round one of competition.
This came after this year’s season kicked off on Saturday at the Multipurpose Court in Honiara.
It takes the HNA two days to complete round one of competition with 15 matches played last Saturday while another 8 matches were played on Monday 19th August at the Multipurpose court.
The season kicked off with intense performances as teams aiming for wins to solidify their campaign.
After the completion of round 1 matches a total of 23 teams from both the 4 division have secured their first win of the season after winning their respective matches.
The four divisions in this year’s HNA league including Super division, division A, division B, division and division C. Super division comprises of 11 teams, division A also with 11 teams while division B with 12 teams and division C with 13 teams.
This year’s season is anticipated to be a tough one as great prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division of the four allocation division.
HNA organizing committee also made it clear that for the start matches will be played only on Saturdays and Monday, where teams who observed Sabbath their matches are scheduled for Mondays while non Sabbath keepers will play on Saturdays.
With the completion of round 1, teams are looking forward for another entertaining match-week this coming weekend at the multipurpose court.
