CENTRAL Kwara’ae Constituency (CKC) in Malaita Province has received crucial support from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) last month.
The support included six desktop computers, solar batteries, solar sets, computer accessories, and polo shirts. The support was aimed at strengthening the positive relationship between Solomon Islands and China.
The items were received by the Central Kwara’ae Constituency Project Officer Sam Ilimanu.
This gesture of goodwill highlights the shared commitment of Solomon Islands and China to foster development, improve livelihoods and enhance education in rural communities.
The donated desktop computers and accessories will be delivered to Busufo’osae School to support its computer lab.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the constituency to the PRC Embassy in Honiara for their well-wishes and invaluable support,” Mr Ilimanu said.
Mr Ilimanu said the donated desktops and other computer accessories will be delivered to Busufo’osae School for their computer lab, which will be further supported by the Central Kwara’ae Constituency Office.
“I firmly believe in the transformative power of education, and it remains a top priority in my development plan for our constituency.
“Our goal is to ensure that as many students as possible have access to modern technology, which is crucial in today’s educational landscape,” he added.
