ONE of the health centres in East Malaita might close its doors for services if the current fine weather condition continues which affected their water source.
Nafinua clinic has been faced with water shortage for several months forcing health workers to provide services with ever water resources they have accessed to.
Reports reaching this paper in Auki yesterday said, nurses have revealed the clinic will close soon, if this current weather pattern persists for the next few weeks and months.
“Our water source which is supply drinking water to the clinic and the people is running low early last month and water supplying is getting low.”
Water tanks have already dried up.
“This has affected the people living in this area who are now worried,” the nurses said.
The clinic currently offers health services to people in the East Kwara’ae constituency from wards 15 to 16.
The clinic has four staff serving the people in that region.
