The managing director of the closed down mini casino Cyber King has on Monday denied the allegations against him.
Ting Kwong Hing entered not guilty pleas to the charges of unlawful commercial gaming and unlawful possession of instruments for gaming.
His was charged under section 10 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act.
The new mini casino Cyber King that operated at Crossroad, Henderson has been ordered to close its doors on 27 April this year, just days after opening its doors.
This followed a stop notice served to them by the Members of the Gaming and Lottery Board.
This is for allegedly operating unlawfully for the reason that the company has no commercial gaming permit issued by the Gaming and Lotteries Board.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Shepherd Lapo after taking note of Hing’s plea adjourned the matter to July 25 for the hearing of the pre-trial conference and the setting of a trial date.
He ordered the prosecution to prepare the draft pre-trial conference documents by July 15 and hand it to the defence counsel.
The defence counsel was ordered to respond to the prosecution by July 22.
