Closing submissions will be made next month on the case of an elderly man accused of indecently assaulting three young girls in Central Province last year.
This was after the trial ended on Wednesday at the Honiara Magistrates’ Court.
The 55 year-old man who cannot be named to protect the identity of the three alleged victims’ ages, 5, 8 and 10 faces eight counts of indecent assaulted related charges.
Prosecution has called a total of 5 witnesses including the young alleged victims at the trial that started on Monday before Magistrate Augustine Aulanga.
The accused yesterday when the matter came for the defence case decided not to call evidence and chose to remain silent.
Mr Aulanga adjourned the matter to May 2, for the closing submissions.
The accused is facing charges which he allegedly committed on dates between January and June last year at Central Province, where he indecently assaulted and exposed his private body part to the young alleged victims.
