THE Court will today continue to hear the closing submissions on the case of the men accused of the murder of a man at Auki, Malaita, in 2015.
Only one defence counsel has managed to complete his submissions.
Principal Magistrate Augustine Aulanga also has another trial to preside over yesterday and therefore did not complete hearing the submissions.
The closing submissions were made in relation to a long form preliminary inquiry conducted on this matter last year.
Jeeney Ete, Luciano Laukasi, Benard Lagate’e and Milton Maelikini are all facing a murder charge.
This is in relation to an allegation between August 17 and August 18, 2015 at the Sea Sound area, Gwaunaru’u.
The deceased’s body was found near the Bmobile tower at Auki.
Ete and Laukasi are represented by private lawyers Anderson Kesaka and Hubert Fugui while Public Solicitor’s lawyers Henry Kausimae and Ben Alasia are representing Lagate’e and Maelikini
Public Prosecutor Bradley Dalipanda is prosecuting.
