Head coach of the Solomon Islands Paralympic team set to compete in the 2020 Queensland Athletics Track & Field Championships in Australia is happy with the level of progress his athletes have displayed so far.
Mark Ologa told Star Sports since their arrival in Queensland the athletes have improved a lot in their training sessions leading up to the championships which will start today.
“I am really happy about my athletes’ improvement since our arrival here in Queensland,” he said.
“As you can see, they have improved a lot compared to what I know about them when we had our training back home in Honiara,” he said.
“I am also excited that all of my athletes have been classified.
“This means they are set to compete in the championships,” he said.
He said they are looking forward to the championship with an aim to qualify for the Tokyo Games.
