COMMISSIONER of Police, Frank Prendergast has called upon young Solomon Islanders to enlist for recruitment with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force.
This was after the RSIPF started its recruitment for new Officers last week.
Mr Prendergast also revealed that so far more than 1,600 applicants have signed up, adding that the Force needs more young people to join up.
“I urge all young men and women in the country to sign up and be part of the RSIPF’s recruitment.
“A career in Policing is indeed a difficult, but fulfilling one.
“Not only do we need officers for operational purposes, but also for administrational duties such as logistics, information systems (IS) and many other departments.
“We need young people with a heart for this nation to be part of the force and help build Solomon Islands to greater heights,” Commissioner Prendergast said.
Mr Prendergast also revealed that recruitment will close on 21 November 2014 and urged all applicants to submit before the due date.
