The Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) Participating Police Force Commander (CPPF), John Tanti has taken his oath before the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Commissioner Frank Prendergast at Rove Police Headquarters on the on Monday this week.
Commander John Tanti takes his oath to carry out duties as Deputy Commissioner of Royal Islands Police Force, whilst also performing the responsibility of commanding the PPF.
Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner and Commander PPF John Tanti said he was honoured and will work with the RSIPF as it steers through the decommissioning of RAMSI and completes the RAMSI capacity building programme prior to the conclusion of the RAMSI Mission in June 2017.
Mr. Tanti is a member of the Senior Executive Service in the Australian Federal Police with more than 26 years experience in Policing.
Commissioner Frank Prendergast said the appointment was formalised following the recent Police and Prison Service Commission endorsement.
“As a result, I today formally administered his swearing in as a RSIPF Deputy Commissioner.”
There were two documents signed during the commissioning; they are Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Office.
