Solomon Games 2016 Management Committee (SGMC) has urged all provincial sports coordinators to adhere to required number of athletes in each sports that will be played during the upcoming Solomon Games.
SGMC stressed this to Star Sports in a statement last night.
“Be informed that the maximum number of entries for each sport is as listed below,’’ SGMC said.
“ You are to adhere to these requirements to avoid disappointments on arrival as we will not be responsible for providing accommodation and food for athletes and officials in excess of the required maximum number,’’ the statement said.
As such SGMC urged all sports coordinators to resubmit their lists of athletes as soon as possible.
“Please resubmit your final lists immediately by emailing to the 2016 Solomon Games office.’
“Your province will be held responsible for meeting accommodation and food costs for additional athletes and officials should you fail to follow this directive,’’ the statement added.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES FOR EACH SPORT FOR THE SOLOMON GAMES TO BE HELD IN HONIARA FROM 1ST JULY TO 17TH JULY 2016.
