CONCERNED residents of Auki, Malaita province are concern with the increasing sells of betel nut in front of Auki market.
This came after betel nut vendors have increased in numbers, which nearly covered the main entrance gate to the market.
A concerned man speaking on behalf of the Auki residents said that the betel nut area should be relocated from the new market area.
“This market is the beauty and pride of the province and must be respected at all times.”
The man who wants his name withheld said it that it was important for people to take responsibility of such important facilities.
He added that responsible authorities must look into this issue and addressed soon.
