THE delay in processing of salaries through accounts by one of the commercial banks in the country has not gone down well with some of its customers.
ANZ customers in recent weeks have claimed a delay in the processing of their salaries through their bank accounts which resulted in some of them receiving their salary through their accounts after 7pm on Fridays.
And they have questioned why it had taken so long to process this.
A customer who declined to be named told the Solomon Star on Thursday that their accounts departments normally raise salary payment or deposit their payments on Wednesdays, yet their salary came through their account late on Friday.
“Sometimes we normally receive our salary after 7 to 8 pm or even Saturday morning. And this is not the first time for this to have happened,” the customer added.
A few customers have also expressed similar sentiments, adding it had affected their families because of the need to do their shopping on Fridays before the weekend.
The ANZ management had been urged to look into this concern and improve its system to avoid such inconvenience in the future.
The ANZ management was contacted for comments but declined to say anything in response to issue.
