A JAMAICAN reggae star says he’s impressed with how popular reggae is in the Pacific Islands.
Conkarah has been on tour in PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu and he’s been struck by the similarities with Jamaica.
He’s even done a duet with a teenage Solomon islands girl, Rosie Delmah, a cover version of Adele’s hit “Hello”.
Conkarah says reggae belongs to the whole world, not just Jamaica, and he’s impressed at the way the Pacific has embraced the music.
Conkarah’s recent performance in the Solomon Islands was during the launch of the Coral Sea Resort and Casino, alongside UK R’N’B sensation Craig David, Sammielz and local talent Jahboy.
