REVEREND Benedict Loe was consecrated and installed on Sunday at Good Shepherd Diocese Cathedral in Central Guadalcanal.
He becomes the second Bishop of Guadalcanal.
The program commenced at 7:30 am and was attended by a large number of people.
A number of government officials, church leaders and church members, expatriates, private businesses, and people in Guadalcanal and in Honiara witnessed the program.
Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, Speaker of Parliament Patterson Oti, Chief of Justice Sir Albert Palmer, and Lady Palmer, and Governor-General Sir David Vunagi were some of those invited to grace the important ceremony.
The ceremony commenced with a Holy Eucharist Service, which included the consecration and installation of the Rt. Reverend Bishop of Guadalcanal, Bishop Benedict Loe.
The program ended with feasting, speeches, and entertainment.
