Constituents of Central Kwara’ae Constituency, Malaita province wants their outgoing member of parliament Jackson Filaua to provide them its financial report for the past four years before rolling his campaigning.
Speaking to this paper a group of constituents said they want their outgoing MP to provide his financial report before kicking off his campaign in the upcoming national general election.
“We want to see how Filaua spend the entire constituency funding throughout his term in parliament.
“The funding that comes towards the constituency is a public or constituency money so we want to know where it goes and how it was spent.
“We need evidence and proof from him before kicking off his campaign,” they said.
They claimed for the last term it seems that there are no tangible development taking place although they hear millions of dollars being poured into the constituency.
They warned Mr Filaua to prepare give answers during this campaign.
“He must prepare to tell us the truth before or during his campaign period.”
Meanwhile, they thanked their outgoing MP for his time in representing them in parliament for the past four years.
The constituents called on voters of the constituency and the whole country to vote wisely in the coming up Election.
“We need visionary leaders who would bring a positive change to our constituency or country. People who can hear our cries and feel our pains.We do not want people who gain power and turn their back on us,” they said.
