Contestants of 2020 North East Guadalcanal and Central Honiara Constituency by-elections have been reminded to file their accounts of campaign expense and donations.
The due date is 23rd February 2021.
Chief Electoral Officer and Commissioner, Mrs. Jane Waetara has confirmed that SIEO is yet to receive campaign and expense reports from any of the 14 candidates who contested the by-elections.
Mrs. Waetara warns candidates not to take it lightly as non-compliance is a criminal offense that carries big fines.
She reminded candidates that, they have only a month to compile all their election campaign expense accounts and is urging all candidates to make all efforts to make their submissions within 90 days legal timeframe.
