THE continuation of the trial on the case of two men accused of the murder of a man in Malaita in 2015 will be next month.
This is for the defence case.
The dates confirmed yesterday are for 13 and 14 December.
The defence were not able to call their witnesses this week because their witnesses are not available.
It was previously heard in court that defence witnesses who are in Auki were not able to come over to Honiara due to financial difficulties.
Jeeney Ete and Bernard Lagate’e are each facing one count of murder.
Prosecution had already closed their case after calling nine witnesses at the trial.
At the end of the prosecution’s case, the defence had made a no case to answer submissions.
Chief Justice Sir Albert Palmer, however, found that the two men have cases to answer to the murder charge that requires them to make their defence.
The two accused are facing charges in relation to an allegation on 18 August 2015, in Auki area.
Prosecution alleged the two accused assaulted the deceased at an area at Sea Sound near Gwaunaru’u airport and then dropped off his body near the Bmobile Tower.
The incident allegedly occurred following an argument between one of the accused and the deceased over a female.
The female who allegedly accompanied the deceased to Sea Sound had been in a relationship with one of the accused and they had a child together.
