THE most visited Corona market in Tenaru, far east of the city will close for an indefinite period of time until further notice.
The Guadalcanal Provincial Executive has taken the decision this week, a statement issued by Guadalcanal Provincial Government said today.
“This means that there will be no buying and selling of products on site to avoid any huge gatherings,” the statement said.
To prepare for the closure the provincial government is asking market vendors and public to respect the decision to close the market.
“This is critical for the protection of our people from the spread of the virus,” the statement said.
The GP Law Enforcement Team has been conducting awareness on site to ensure that the public adhere to the decision for closure of the Corona Market at Tenaru area.
