Dear Editor – As a patriotic citizen of the Solomon Islands, I am deeply concerned about the ongoing corruption in the distribution of the Rural Constituency Development Fund (RCDF). The RCDF, intended for infrastructure development in rural areas, is often mismanaged or diverted for personal gain by our leaders.
As a result, essential projects like road construction and the improvement of rural clinics remain incomplete, leaving communities without the basic services they desperately need.
Those responsible for this corruption must be held accountable to restore public trust and ensure the equitable use of the RCDF.
We must demand greater transparency and integrity from our leaders to ensure that these resources benefit the people they are meant to serve.
Sincerely,
Graham Leo
