Counting of all the ballot papers for the three Constituencies in Choiseul Province will kicked off 9am this morning in Taro.
This was confirmed by Choiseul Province Election Manager Jeffery Pakipota.
He said the delay was due to transportation of the ballot papers from the various polling stations around the province by outboard motor (OBM).
He said the presiding officers and their assistants also need some rest after a tiring day on Wednesday and the long traveling to Taro on Thursday.
He however confirmed that all the ballot boxes have all arrived in Taro under the custody of police ready for counting today.
Three counting venues have been identified.
Last night most of the counting officials have been briefed on what to do when contacting starts this morning.
Police are expected to provide security at the counting venues.
Meanwhile Mr Pakipota said Wednesday’s election in Choiseul province ended peacefully and successfully.
And he thanked all the villagers and communities for their turn out and respect during the day.
