The Honiara Football Association (HFA) alongside Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) will be organising Level 1 coaching for interested teachers in Honiara.
HFA General Secretary Leonard Paia revealed this to Star Sports in an interview, Friday.
“HFA Executive is organising a SIFF Level 1 coaching certificate in partnership with the SIFF Technical Department for interested Primary school teachers within the 3 constituencies of Honiara and representatives of the 36 HFA affiliated clubs,’’ he said.
“Each primary school and HFA clubs are invited to nominate their representative to attend the coaching course,’’ Paia said.
He added registration forms can be collected from George Keso on (Phone: 8729190) or Marlon Houkarawa at the Central Bank on phone: 7588317 or Matai Vave at Naha Motors, Ranadi on phone: 7475349.
“The registration will be closed on Wednesday 4th November and coaching course to start on Saturday 7th November 2015,’’ Paia stressed.
The general scretary highlighted that all coaching participants will require to do a 50 hours practical sessions at any of the three centres of excellence in order to be accredited with SIFF Level 1 Coaching certificate.
“HFA Executive encourages those who are willing to support our youth football development to come forward and be part of this program either as a coach or coordinator for the 3 centres.
He further added the program is part of HFA’s long term development plan to assist SIFF and other PFAs throughout the country in their vision to strengthen the foundation of football development in Solomon Islands.
“Registration for SIFF Level 1 certificate coaching course is opened as of today and closes on Wednesday 4th November 2015,’’ Paia stated.
