THE Honiara Magistrates’ Court did not hear cases yesterday because magistrates took a day out to attend a one-day Family Protection Act workshop at the Heritage Park Hotel.
A notice was pinned up at the magistrate’s court notice board to inform public of the reason why no cases are to be heard.
“There will be no court sitting for the Magistrate Court the whole of Friday 4th March 2016,” the notice red.
“The reason being all magistrates are in attendance at a one day Family Protection Act workshop.”
The notice further stated that the all criminal matters listed for yesterday will be mentioned on Monday next week.
