The High Court is currently on its mid-year vacation which will last for two weeks.
This means there will be no court sittings for criminal and civil cases except for urgent hearings and matters that has previously been fixed to be heard during this two-week break period.
The High Court registry office will however remain open to the public for an hour in the morning from 9am to 10am and another hour in the afternoon from 1pm to 2pm.
A notice has been pinned up on the locked entrance gate to the High Court registry office informing the public about the vacation and of its opening hours.
The vacation started yesterday and will end on June 24 with the high court resuming its normal duties and sittings on June 27.
The court vacation applies to all the courts in the country except the Honiara Magistrates Court which will continue with its normal sittings.
