THE COVID-19 vaccination roll out in Honiara will start on Monday 24th January.
A statement from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services today (Saturday 22nd January) said the health team is now working to set up additional sites.
The ministry will inform the public of these sites soon.
The ministry said vaccination roll out will continue in Guadalcanal Province at Aola, Marasa, Wandra Bay and South Guadalcanal.
It said other provinces should continue to roll out the COVID-19 vaccines.
“Please go get your COVID-19 jab done and once our team come around your communities, please come out to get your vaccine dose,’ the statement said.
“Any one feeling sick consult our medical team at your nearest clinic for treatment first before getting your vaccination dose.”
The ministry will also be informing those positive with COVID-19 soon on relevant information pertaining to COVID-19 vaccination.
Those with severe flu like illness or COVID-19 symptoms of coughing, runny nose, fever, shortness of breath, the ministry asked you to stay where you are and call our National Health Emergency Operation Centre on phone 115 or 25256.
“Those with mild flu like symptoms , that does not really bother you or affect your normal daily routine, please self-isolate at home so you do not pass it on to others in your family,” the statement said.
The statement said Our Telekom is setting up additional lines and the ministry will communicate these phone numbers to the public shortly.
