Officers of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at Henderson Police Station in Guadalcanal Province (GP) undergo training conducted by the China Police Liaison team (CPLT) at the Henderson Police Station.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province (GP) Chief Superintendent Rodney Kuma says, “This training is very important since it will boost officer’s capability when attending to reports that require such techniques as we prepared for the upcoming major events like the Pacific Games 2023.”
Assistant Commissioner (AC) National Capital and Crime Prevention (NCCP) Mr. Simpson Pogeava says, “RSIPF and CPLT have been working closely with each other since the establishment of its bilateral relationship and it will grow from strength to strength in the coming years.”
AC Pogeava says, “This training is a great opportunity for our front line officers as they are trained by the qualified instructors from the CPLT. Training participants are to take training seriously and put all your effort in to this training.”
“I would like to acknowledge the CPLT, China Embassy and the Ministry of Public Security from China for your ongoing support in training and other resources that have been donated to the RSIPF,” says AC Pogeava.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training course last week Deputy Team Leader (DTL) Mr XU says, “As one of the law enforcement use of force is the basic ability of each police officers to protect the national security, social stability and their own safety, as well as the symbol of social progress reflected in the standard law enforcement.”
DTL Mr Xu says, “CPLT is willing to maintain regular cooperation with RSIPF in this important field. This also shows our cooperation with RSIPF is comprehensive and pragmatic by designing specific training which is suitable for the real situation of different departments of the RSIPF.”
