Credit Corporation (SI) Ltd Managing Director Tony Langston has expressed excitement with the success of the Credit Corporation High School Rugby competition recently concluded in Honiara.
And wants to see the competition grow in numbers and in the quality of the game.
In a feedback provided to SIRUF Mr Langston stated that he was pleased with the overall standard of play and encouraged SIRUF to continue to expand its efforts with developing rugby union amongst school children.
According to Langston the future is bright for Solomon Islands Rugby and Credit Corporation with its corporate theme ‘Funding Futures’ is delighted to be associated with this form of social development and keen to continue its support.
SIRUF President Frank Wickham conveyed the sincere appreciation of SIRUF to Credit Corporation (SI) Ltd and also stated that there is more work to do in raising the overall standard of high school rugby in the country.
SIRUF is planning to hold coaching clinics for all school coaches and sports masters early 2016 before the new competition season starts and will work more closely with other partners to ensure that the competition is well supported and player welfare is prioritised.
SIRUF and Credit Corporation wishes to convey appreciation and thanks to all schools that participated and all the staff, parents and volunteers who helped out in one way or another.
