Dear Editor – Our situation is more critical than ever as we all face all nods day after day. Turning to the point that promises have been not fulfilled and development is not utilized to target our populace that need such development.
Important mainstreams in the Government Ministries that contributed to the health, education and safety of our society has been neglected in such manner we are all affected and bear the consequences daily.
Even policies has been drafted but not implemented due to lack of fund claimed by responsible authorities.
Our capital Honiara is still striving to cooperative with the growing demand of the public seeing such tasks need to be done faithfully.
For instance, our roads are one of the worst roads in the region comparing with our neighbours (Vanuatu, PNG & Fiji).
Millions of dollars from tax payers money have been used for such road work but potholes kept surfacing.
This is a big slap on our faces as millions of dollars have been wasted away.
It is also of concern that MPs are having their hands on scholarships.
Witnessing this action by MPs while the responsible authority at the NTU helplessly cannot do anything when the Big Man MP arrives and force officers of NTU to give a consent letter of approval for their selected students.
Our opportunity again was grabbed by our greedy MPs and pushed their unqualified students to fill our spaces which we have been working hard for years.
