THE Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) the most Reverend Archbishop Leonard Dawea has called on all ACOM schools to be more collaboration towards ensuring better school academic results every year.
Rev. Dawea made the call during his sermon at the ACOM combined School Commissioning church service, Thursday.
With the theme of the year’s academic year ‘strengthening Relationships in ACOM schools, the Arch Bishop encourages all parties involved to work together.
“I would like to encourage not only improving school to school relationships but also to strengthen the relationship between teachers, students, parents and not forgetting God himself who is the creator,” he said.
The Most Rev. Dawea said he was glad to see a lot of young students have chosen to study in the ACOM schools and it is everybody’s responsibility to ensure they grew up in what is expected of them.
He then on behalf of all ten parents and guardians, wishes all the students and teachers all the best in this years’ academic year.
Meanwhile, the service also marks the launching of the ACOM Education school standards which was aimed at improving schools performance especially students, teachers as well as the school authority or management.
Not only that, it also a time where all the students, teachers and guidance and supporters to come together in fellowship to dedicate the year to God.
Meanwhile all ACOM Schools will begin their classes as of Monday 27th January just as it is according to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development academic time table.
