A JUDGE has ordered the lawyer representing a murder accused to provide his sick leave to the court Wednesday.
This was after the court was told the lawyer was unable to attend court on Tuesday for the start of the defence case.
The defence case was scheduled to start on Monday before presiding judge Francis Mwanesalua.
However, Hubert Fugui, who represented the accused Aaron Konle, was reportedly sick and the matter was moved to last Tuesday.
Crown Prosecutor Augustine Aulanga on Tuesday informed the court he verbally talked with Mr Fugui and was told he was still not feeling well.
He asked the court if the lawyer can provide the sick leave so that the matter can be adjourned to a certain date.
He said Fugui’s client has already asked his lawyer if he could provide his sick leave to court today.
The court is awaiting the presentation of the defence case after the judge found Konle has a case to answer to the charge.
His lawyer had presented a no case to answer submission to the court at the close of the prosecution case.
Konle is facing one count of murder in relation to the allegation between 12 midnight and 1.30am of May 23, 2010 at Tamone Settlement at Lungga area.
