Dear Editor – As a taxpayer of this happy nation, I would like to voice out some of my personal findings about the dental services.
First of all, I would like to ask a question, where is the national dental clinic of Solomon Island?
I know that there are three main dental services in any dental setting; these are primary, secondary and tertiary dental services.
The inhabitants of Solomon Island have been deprived from receiving dental services. Solomon Island has been blessed with lots of qualified dentists and dental paramedical officers. These dental mouthpieces have no proper places to carry out their job description accordingly.
I understand that it is an obligation of the employer (SIG) to provide conducive working environment for its employees. Solomon Island is one of the countries in the Western Pacific which has no national dental clinic. This is a very shameful thing.
As tax payer of this happy country, I would to ask a question, when will the relevant authorities build a national clinic for Solomon Island? I think it is high time to take into consideration that oral health is very important.
A very nice national dental clinic with fully equipped is the answer. This national dental clinic is a proper place which all the dental mouthpieces can perform their job description effectively.
Nice dental infrastructures can create more posts for the coming dentists and dental paramedical officers.
I heard that some of the qualified dentists have no posts in the dental department. This is a very bad news for this happy nation, Solomon Island.
This happy nation has a population of more than half a million and it needs more dental manpower to meet the very big demand of dental services.
Dental diseases are silent prevalent health problems in this happy nation. The very good thing about these health problems, they are preventable and treatable.
As a tax payer, I am appealing to the relevant authorities within the ministry of health and medical services to provide a conducive working environment for our dentists and dental paramedical officers. I think enough is enough to pretend to be okay!
Iam very optimistic that if there is a very effective dental service, there will be less diseases in this happy nation. Mouth and its related structures are the main food apparatus. Mouth can be an entrance for infections.
The current millions of dental diseases among the populace of this happy nation can be reduced if there is a nice dental infrastructure in place.
Preventing dental diseases can be done verbally and further more clinically. Oral health is the expectation of every single citizen of this country, Solomon Island. The happy people of this happy nation are so famous because of their lovely smiles.
Dentist and dental paramedical officers can improve these smiles if they have a nice national dental clinic with nice facilities. Remember bright smiles bright future.
As a tax payer, I believe that lots of non-communicable diseases because of very poor dental service in this happy nation, Solomon Island. If a person has one form of dental diseases in his or her mouth, he or she is not healthy.
People of this happy nation, Solomon Island are sickly because of very poor oral hygiene. People can be healthy if they eat nice balance diet with very nice robust food apparatus.
Lastly, I urge all the people of this happy nation to sing with me a song entitled “Build a national dental clinic for Solomon Island”.
