THE popular Dezine has stunned their Vanuatu fans on their first appearance at the stadium in Stade, Port Vila over the weekend.
More than 3000 fans turned up to witness the show which was organized to raise funds for the victims of the disastrous cyclone Pam that strikes Vanuatu on March.
It was the bands second trip to Vanuatu and Dezine vocalist Albert Saeni a.k.a ‘Mi Santana’ told the Solomon Star yesterday that the turnout was great.
“The turnout of the weekend show was good.
“This is our second time to tour Vanuatu and the crowd and fans keeps on improving,” Santana said.
He added that plans are underway for a next show to be staged at Santo.
“We are planning a next show for Santo anytime soon.
“Will update our fans when it is confirmed,” the local talented artist said.
The band is being supported by local students studying in Vanuatu and some famous musicians from Vanuatu where they played live music.
Santana also confirmed that the tribute song that they produced in Vanuatu for the Pam victims is now gaining momentum.
“We produced the song within just 3 hours.
“It is easy to compose and produce because we did it from our hearts.
“The song has touched the hearts of many people here,” he told this paper from Vanuatu yesterday.
He wishes to thank their fans in Vanuatu for supporting and promoting their songs.
“Dezine appreciates all the efforts of our fans in Vanuatu.
“I want to thank them for believing in our music and for feeling that they deserve the band to be giving them good music,” he said.
Meanwhile, on behalf of the band the songsters said that they wanted to acknowledge the business houses in Vanuatu as the major sponsors of the tour for making it possible and also a success.
