The Solomon Islands Disability Sports fun day kicks off today at the Maranatha Hall.
This event will bring all people with disability from centers and communities in and around Honiara to come together to have fun with sports.
It will be attended by prominent members of the Government, organization representatives and foreign diplomats.
The purpose for the event is to raise awareness and for the promotion of inclusive sports for all in a cohesive manner, as such to empower people with disabilities to develop and display their abilities in various sports and fun games as well as an opportunity for various sports trainers and coaches to practice their training and coaching skills for people with disability.
The event theme for this year is to ‘Support to make a difference through Disability Inclusive Sports.’
