The three players who were allegedly involved in a brawl during a match between Malaita Kingz FC and Koloale FC over the weekend are likely to face disciplinary action.
This was according to reports reaching Star Sports yesterday.
The Solomon Islands Football federation (SIFF) is responsible for deciding what disciplinary action they will face.
Star Sports understands the three players, Mostyn Beui and Michael Meke of Koloale along with Malaita Kingz FC’s Derick Taebo will not be featuring in any more matches whilst awaiting the final decision once the SIFF disciplinary committee meets.
A meeting to decide what disciplinary actions will be taken against the players is expected to be held soon.
The three were said to be involved in an argument on the pitch which resulted in an alleged exchange of punches which gave referee Mathew Taro little room for leniency sending all three of out of the match.
Banning the players from being part of the TSL competition will make it four in total to have faced such disciplinary action.
The first player to be banned from the TSL competition was George Wagina of KOSSA after allegedly punching Leonard Rokoto of Western United FC during the TSL first season two years ago.
