Dear Editor – We are the 100 level students in USP SI campus.
Through your paper I would like to bring to the consideration of the authority of NTU about the ongoing students scholarship for 2018.
I have been three times in the office of NTU asking same question for each week to different peoples.
My question is this, “How mifala degree students save apply too even GPA blo mifala lo foundation no kasim 3.8 to 4.5?”
First staff during the first week says: yaa…you inside system na yaa bro…no warim GPA yaa… Tufala course you duim or three then passim, ma you apply come na, just use your degree transcript. Ok thanks!
Second week I came back with that same question but to a different staff.
“How mifala degree student sa…ve apply too even GPA lo foundation no kasim 3.8 to 4.5?”
Yes, of course! Why not, but you must duim four course go up and passim then you sa…ve apply come, your degree transcript consider most. Ok thanks!
However, just Tuesday 29 August I went back with that same question to the same person I spoke with the second time, and the staff told me that for degree students who want to apply for SIG scholarship, they will use their foundation grade now.
No grade for 100 levels or degree will be considered.
What is this?
I firmly believe here that most of our degree students in service here fall on GPA 3.0 to 3.7 and left with no option but to do in-country because of no sponsorship.
Where are your words?
We have faith in what we see that we started here self-sponsor to reduce government cost so that government can sponsor us next.
We recommend that more 100 levels like law students or other major students in-service should be sent out to their right place of study. Not here!
But the challenge is your faith in us.
