Dear Editor – I am referring to the current mudslinging between our top leaders regarding the past ethnic tension issues.
This nation lives on borrowed time – taking what comes our way today.
I think it is no use and really not helpful to pull back the bad things of the past to the present. With the help of our Australian and regional friends at a very high cost, they managed to pull us back to where we are now.
Everybody are now starting to do their own things and everyone are now moving on. So bringing the things of those bad days back now is not helpful.
Let’s accept what happened in the past and move on too. The least people we expect to go to the rubbish bin and bring back thrash are our very own leaders.
You should be the one advocating for onward going. Those were the bad days, now gone.
Therefore, Dr Sikua and others, please drop it.
Jim Sevesi
