DREAMCAST Theatre Solomon Islands and One More Shot (#OMS) will host a virtual photo exhibition, a first of its kind online showcasing in the country.
A statement from Dreamcast Theatre SI said the exhibition is designed to build human rights advocacy through thought-provoking local content for the public and effect active citizenship among youth.
The Human Rights Photo Exhibition will be held at the Dreamcast Theater Art Hub in Honiara. It is a whole day event that will take place on 12 April 2022.
The event will be joined by invited guests, partners and streamed on the Dreamcast Theatre Solomon Islands Facebook page.
The exhibition will feature OMS photographers and their perspective on human rights.
“Creativity, the arts, and wide advocacy on human rights cannot stop because of the pandemic,” OMS Vice President Cedella Nongebatu said.
“If anything, it is needed now more than ever. This event being the first virtual photo exhibition is a testament to that.”
The public can access the virtual event by following the ‘Dreamcast Theater Solomon Islands’ or ‘OMS Film Group’ Facebook page where it will be live streamed throughout the event.
This event is funded by the Pacific Partnership Advancing Change (PPAC) under the Human Rights and Social Development (HRSD) Division of The Pacific Community (SPC) and supported by Dreamcast Theater, #OMS, and Youth for Development.
