DRIVERS and pedestrians have been called upon to take extra precaution whilst using the roads during this wet weather.
A spokesperson from the Kukum Traffic Police yesterday gave the caution, adding that during such rainy weather, and with the deteriorating road conditions, drivers and pedestrians both need to take extra precautionary measures whilst using the roads.
“It is common sense that during wet weather, drivers must drive slowly and that pedestrians must be careful.
“It is also common that most drivers tend to drive along the foot paths during such times, this must not occur as it can lead up to or cause unwanted traffic accidents,” he said.
Police meanwhile called on the public to observe all traffic rules to avoid any problems whilst using the roads.
