The Malaita Eagles soccer team preparing for the upcoming Solomon Cup marches into camp this week.
According to information reaching Star Sports, a total of 26 athletes are now in the camp and will undergo their first training together as a team starting on Monday.
Some players who are called up for training are yet to make it to the training camp.
Therefore, the Malaita Eagles Soccer team management would like to call on the athletes who are still out there to turn up to the training camp to join the other athletes.
A total of 43 athletes have been called up to join the Malaita Eagles training squad.
Following weeks of intensive training a final 25 players will be selected to represent the province in next month’s Solomon Cup.
Of the final 25 players, 23 are traveling players while two will be non-traveling players.
The team will be under the guidance of head Terry Oiaka and will be assisted by Jimmy Gau.
The team manager is Titus Fika, the head of the delegation is Danny Belo and the team medical officer is Dr Hendry Kako.
