THE Eagon Pacific Plantation Limited (EPPL) is planning to recruit more people as part of increasing its production and expansion in the country.
Honorary General of Solomon Islands to Korea and Chairman of Eagon group of companies, Young Ju Park, revealed this to Solomon Star in an exclusive interview at the Heritage Park Hotel on Wednesday.
“We are now expanding our operations area and looking to employ up to 200 to 300 local employees in the near future.
“We like to have more locals being employed in both small and bigger jobs.
“Most basically, we will need employees to work on plantation related jobs and administrative works.
“We would like to employ more locals, if it is possible. We like to have a preference to employ locals,” he told the Solomon Star.
Mr Park said, the company will expand its operations in the Western Province this year and they are looking to increase employment and took onboard local Solomon Islanders to work at the Arara camp.
