EAST Honiara Outskirts Settlement Community Policing Law Association (EHOSCPLA) has set an example for other chief’s bodies existing in other community settlements in Honiara city.
Assistance commissioner for Honiara community policing association, Gabriel Manelusi said the success of the Gilbert Camp community policing association is a shining example, other communities should adopt.
“I want to thank the EHOSCPLA for making a great move to tackle community crimes since getting down to working last month until now,’ Mr. Manelusi said.
“They have set good example similar chiefs organisations that exists in central and west Honiara areas should adopt in serving their people.
He added that they have settled many issues of conflicting opinions at the Gilbert Camp area.
Mr Manelusi said that he wants to appreciate EHOSCPLA chiefs for working faithfully keeping Gilbert Camp communities peaceful during the Christmas and New Year festive season.
Special Secretary to the EHOSCPLA Frank Robolite’e told the Solomon Star that at the moment they are about to complete public awareness talks at Gilbert Camp areas.
“After completing these communities, we will move on to schools,” Mr. Robolite’e said.
