Henderson Eels duo Raphael Lea’i and Joses Nawo continued their top form in scoring goals, extending their goal tally in the golden boot race.
Both players seemed to be unstoppable in front of goal as they both finished round one of the Telekom S-league (TSL) with a staggering record in the race for the golden boot award halfway through the season.
Lea’i leads with 19 goals, he scored one goal against Kakamora in Eel’s recent match while Nawo scored two goals to give him 18 goals.
Both players are at an average of 10 goal difference from their closest competitors for the golden boot title.
Laugu FC’s Gagame Feni is on the third place with eight goals and Real Kakamora’s Adrian Mara on fourth with seven goals.
Feni and Mara still have the chance to extend their tally in their final round one matches this weekend.
However, the chances of finishing this season with the highest of goals remain wide open as the first round of the league is yet to come.
