HENDERSON Eels duo Joses Nawo and Raphael Lea’i continued their top form in scoring goals, extending their goal tally in the golden boot race.
Both players seemed to be unstoppable in front of the goal as they both finish the second to last match of the Telekom S-League (TSL) with a hat trick each.
The chances of finishing this season with the highest of goals remain between the two Eels frontmen with the final matches of the season set to be played this weekend.
Nawo now leads with 35 goals and Lea’i with 33 goals.
Both players are at an average of 10 goal difference from their closest competitor for the golden boot title.
Speaking to media after the Eels match on Wednesday, Raphael Lea’i said looks forward to extending his tally against Warriors.
“It will be a tough game against Warriors but I am aiming to score more goals for Eels in the final match.
“I am also happy to have my teammate Joses Nawo in the golden boot race and look forward to an interesting final match,” the young striker said.
Solomon Warriors Gagame Feni is the only player who is closing in on the duo with 26 goals.
Feni’s final chance to extend his number of goals will be this weekend when they take on the champions, Henderson Eels.
